NO CHARGE FOR AWNINGS

Please take time to read this information and respect our site rules

PITCHES

 All electric units must be placed to the right of the electric box as the arrow indicates, with your car to the right of this or in front if space allows. Non-electric units must be placed to the right of the peg, with your car to the right of this.

 Please be aware that high powered domestic kettles and fan heater may trip the electric supply. We would prefer you to use camping equivalents.

 Caravans/tents/motorhomes must be a minimum of six metres from the next, awnings/gazebos/windbreaks/cars can be included in this but must be at least 3 metres from the next caravan/tent/motorhome, see site map.

 Please respect other peoples’ pitches and do not cut across them or let your children play around other units which do not belong to you or your friends.

 Please be advised that the static site is private to the caravan owners. Please so not allow children to play there.

 We ask that you keep the noise to a minimum after 10.30pm as noise travels very easily in the countryside.

SAFETY

 Please note the position of the fire points and see instructions on our site map in case of fire.

 Open fires or chimeneas are not allowed, only proper barbeque units. Please do not throw used coals on to the river bank. No disposables direct on the grass, please ask for bricks if required.

 Children should be dissuaded from playing in the driveway on bikes.

 No kite flying from the fields because of overhead cables.

 In the event of an accident or emergency, telephone numbers and a telephone can be found at the office.

 Gate at main entrance will be closed in the evening, it is not locked, please use the slider to open and close.

 Please be aware that there are cracks in the fields when the ground dries out. Please be careful.

 Some of our riverbanks are unstable, please be careful near the edge.

WASTE

 Please leave only kitchen waste in dustbins provided. Larger items please take home with you or to the nearest tip.

 Please take your bulk recycling with you as we are unable to offer full recycling facilities on site.

 We are not on mains sewerage; we have septic tanks on site. Please use water sparingly. Do not put nappies/sanitary wear down toilets, bins are provided in the Ladies toilet block. Please do not put grease/fat down sinks.

DOGS

 Dogs are allowed on site, as long as they are kept on leads at all times, and restricted to the confines of your pitch.

 Please walk them on the grass at the top of the main entrance/exit. A code is available from the shop/office for the gate access, through our ‘B’ field, onto the canal for longer walks.

 Please do not allow them to foul unattended; clear up after them when necessary, this includes the drive and the main road grass at the top of the drive.

SPEED LIMIT

 There is a 10mph speed limit all over the site. Please abide by this as children are running about all of the time.

 We would be grateful if cars could only be used when leaving the site, not just for coming to the shop or toilets. If the weather is wet, the use of your car will churn up the grass and make it unpleasant for others to walk on.

VISITORS

 Please advise all your visitors that come to you on site that they must pay for a visitors pass before entering the fields, this is currently £2 per car per day, they may be asked to park their car out of the field, especially on a bank holiday weekend.

FISHING

 The fishing in the river surrounding the site is private; a day permit must be obtained before fishing. We only charge a nominal amount of £1.00, per rod per day, for people booked on the site. A National rod licence is also required.

 Please note we do not allow fishing between dusk and 8am.

RIVER SALWARPE

 The river surrounding the site is not safe to paddle or swim in. The boats moored on the river are private, and must not be boarded or mooring lines loosened. Please ensure children do not thrown gravel/stones at the boats or in the river, this can be costly, both to us for the gravel and to you to pay for any damage caused.
